Third Reich (Ostmark)

The events of the occupation of Austria on 13 March 1938 did not initially have a direct effect on the existence and activity of the Supreme Court, which continued to be the final forum in civil and criminal law cases “in the Land of Austria”. However, on March 31, 1939, the Court was obliged to terminate its activities and its previous jurisdiction was transferred to the Court of the German Reich in Leipzig, where it was concentrated within two panels (one civil and one criminal).
